Human Resources Administrator - Gardiner, Maine



The individual in the HR Administrator position will provide administrative support to the HR department working in our Gardiner, ME offices and will be responsible for implementing and optimizing HR processes to ensure customer service and create efficiencies. This individual will be a strong HR generalist with 3 to 5 years’ experience, great communications skills, and a strong multi-tasker. 


  • Responsible for all administrative functions supporting the HR department
  • Conduct Orientation, including E-Verify, set up new hires, coordinate with payroll
  • Benefits enrollment and administration, including medical/dental, STD/LTD, COBRA, FSA
  • Maintain personnel files and other HR files in compliance with file retention requirements
  • Departmental metrics reporting
  • Benefits reconciliation
  • Enter job title changes, pay changes, status changes, etc.
  • Primary point of contact for benefits questions from employees
  • Update HR sections of intranet
  • Document processes for training and back up purposes
  • Terminate employees in system
  • Other duties as assigned










High School degree and 3 to 5 years’ experience working as Human Resources Generalist preferred. Local candidates preferred, this position does not include relocation.


Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

  • Strong experience with HRIS and other HR software systems
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
  • Knowledge of payroll and payroll systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and process focus
  • Excellent customer service focus and responsiveness
  • Proven team orientation and coordination skills
